Remodeled commercial breezeway connects building entrances with rear parking. Client objectives: "Light up the breezeway but don't make it look too Las Vegas;" make it a safe and easy-to-clean area while maintaining an appealing entrance.
The challenge was met with 17 mosaic panels, done in rich desert colors and motifs, backlit with LED lighting units. Additional LED ceiling lights further brighten the space, transforming a dark, foreboding tunnel into a bright gallery, and making the building a community landmark, adding to the town's rich collection of public art. High-efficiency LEDs and natural materials set a high standard for future renovations of this landmark building and Fountain Hills in general.
The project has had overwhelming positive response and the lively atmosphere it has generated has business booming for local shops and restaurants!
